| Instructions For Use:
- Identify your rust stain
- Performa test by applying a small amount of RSR-2000. If it is a rust stain,
the RSR-2000 gel will chemically react with the rust stain causing the gel to
turn purple in color.
- Remove the purple residue with paper towel, then compare your result vs. original
rust stain. If the result obtained is acceptable, then perform removal over the
entire stained area.
- Tape around the area where you want to remove the rust stain
- Apply a coat of RSR-2000 approximately 1/8" to 1/4" thick over the
rust stained area
- Allow the RSR-2000 to stand for approximately 10 minutes in order to react
with the rust stain
- Remove the purple residue with a paper towel
- Clean the treated area with water

Common Questions
- I applied RSR-2000 over the stained area and nothing happened, what should
I do?
First, you need to find out if the stone was previously treated with wax or
any similar chemical. If it was treated with wax, then you will need to remove
the wax and proceed with the rust stain removal process. The RSR-2000 does not
work through a previously treated surface area. If the wax was removed and RSR-2000
gel did not turn purple in color, then this particular stain is not a rust stain.
- What's the difference between Alpha Rust Poultice and RSR-2000?
Alpha Rust Poultice is a powder poultice that turns to paste when mixed with
water. This poultice paste generally takes an average of 24 hours to remove a
rust stain. Additionally, powder poultice may take several applications before
the stain is removed from the stone. |
Helpful Hints
- Always wear personal safety equipment when applying and removing RSR-2000
- Perform your rust stain removal in a well-ventilated area
- Since this product's results are very subjective due to the nature of stone,
stain, and conditions when you apply, it is better to perform a test in a small,
inconspicuous area first.
